Charity you are representing and why?

The Railway Children was launched in 1995 to stop the abuse of children living alone and at risk on the streets and railways across Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. I have chosen to adopt The Railway Children as my chosen charity as I feel it is important that children get the best possible chance in like and are protected against any type of abuse or neglect. In addition, Comms-care has also decided to adopt the charity for all of their fundraising events throughout 2009.

Why have you entered CRN Fight Night?

In the current economic climate these events are a fantastic way to boost moral throughout the company and the industry on the whole. I entered as by being part of the event I'm sure that with the prospect of me getting hit a bit will generate a great buzz around the company!

I am also supportung a great charity and this event will go along way to helping the Railway Children benefit children who are victims of all kinds of abuse.

If that wasn't enough, I wanted a kick up the back side to get fit again!

Have you ever boxed before?

I'm from Manchester...so to a fashion.

I have never been part of any western boxing gym or event however I train in Muay Thai Boxing which is similar to kick boxing but we use fun stuff like Knees and Elbows to the head. I am however looking to train in the traditional boxing way as it's this area of fighting which interests me more.

How would you describe your boxing style?

Windmill meets Zui Quan meets Orthodox meets that kangaroo in Tom and Jerry.

What extra training have you been doing to achieve full fighting fitness?

I have been heavily training over the Christmas period, my biceps are now plentiful thanks to my chicken drummer reps and the pint pull up! I have been doing some road work and "trying" to watch my diet a little...being told you're a light heavyweight is the best motivation for weight loss. I have also been working on my core with situps and press-ups. I use no new age equipment, a bit like Rocky in the run up to Ivan Drago.

Have you picked a theme tune and if so, what is it and why?

Don't know yet! I'll keep an ear out.

Which professional boxer (any era) do you think you could take on?

Muhammad Ali. As long as i survived, albeit knocked out it would give me one hell of a story.

What words have you got for your opponent?

Anatidaephobia and squidgereen are pretty good words, he can have them.
