Deputy Editor - Post Magazine
Lynn has been deputy editor of Post since January 2005, before which she was features editor and a member of the reporting team. Over the last six years, she has followed the rehab debate closely under the magazine's Rehabilitation First campaign. This has necessitated the writing and commissioning of articles on a wide range of related topics from the promotion of early intervention in whiplash claims, to employer-led vocational rehabilitation programmes and the need for professional qualifications and regulation of this burgeoning industry.

Mark Baylis
Chair – Rehabilitation Working Party
Mark Baylis chairs the International Underwriting Association’s Rehabilitation Working Party, which he helped to found in 1998 and is also a founder of the UK Rehabilitation Council. The working party includes representatives of outside bodies such as the Association of British Insurers, Lloyd’s, primary insurers, legal groups, care providers and the NHS. It has become increasingly influential over the years, publishing reports, speaking at conferences and seminars and frequently being consulted by government, the judiciary and other decision-makers. Mark has edited the three UK bodily injury awards studies, organised or participated in a wide range of conferences and seminars promoting rehabilitation and is regularly consulted by government and other bodies on this subject.
Carole Chantler
Carole is a Medical Relationship Manager based in DWF’s London office. She has over 15 years experience in case management both in the UK and Canada, as well as over 20 years experience in trauma, neurological and cardiovascular intensive care nursing.
Carole is the Chairperson of CMSUK, and a member of their Ethics and Standards Committee. She is also co-author of CMSUK’s Standards of Practice, Guidelines to Practice and the Code of Ethics.
Erin Flood
Policy Adviser for Health - Association of British Insurers
Erin is the policy adviser for Health in the Health and Protection team at the
ABI. Erin worked within the NZ health sector planning, funding, and managing
public health services, and procuring private health services, at national and
regional levels. Prior to joining the ABI, Erin worked for HM Treasury's Office
of Government Commerce Procurement Efficiency programme. Erin enjoys travel and
has recently discovered Cornwall
Catherine McLoughlin
Catherine has been chair of UK Rehabilitation since 2008. A trained general and mental health nurse, she had a long career in the NHS in London and Oxfordshire, notably as chief nursing officer in Paddington and chief executive of Haringay Health Authority. Her NHS career culminated in a post at the Department of Health.
Since leaving the NHS Catherine has worked as an independent consultant and chaired a Health Authority, an NHS Trust and the NHS Confederation. As chair of Age Concern – England she was instrumental in the charity’s merger with Help the Aged in 2009. Catherine was awarded a CBE in 1998 for services to the NHS.
Steve Pointer
Head of Health and Safety Policy - EEF, The Manufacturers' Organisation
Steve joined EEF in 2008, and heads the organisations policy work on health, safety and wellbeing. He represents manufacturers’ views and concerns to UK and European Union politicians and officials as well as providing a policy lead for EEF’s consultancy and training services.
He formerly worked for the Health and Safety Executive, for eight years as an inspector before moving to HSE’s headquarters as a policy adviser. He was part of the small team that developed the Health and Safety Commission’s strategy for workplace health and safety in 2003 and subsequently worked closely with senior figures as HSE’s stakeholder and parliamentary affairs manager. Latterly Steve managed HSE’s ‘Sensible risk’ campaign and provided a policy lead on issues of risk assessment.
Steve holds an MBA, a post-graduate diploma in occupational safety and health and an honours degree in business, law and manufacturing systems. He sits on a number of groups including The Rehabilitation Council and the HSE/IOD oversight group on leadership of health and safety.
Amanda Stevens
Vice President - APIL
Amanda became APIL president on 10 April 2008. She is partner and head of the personal injury group at Charles Russell solicitors. She was elected to APIL’s National Executive in 2003, and maintains a particular interest in health and safety matters and she has been appointed as APIL’s “rehab champion” charged with developing APIL’s rehab policy and promotion of rehab as a central part of the claims process in consultation with other key stakeholder groups.
